Schlappeseppel in Aschaffenburg

We didn't arrive until around 11 p.m. and still got a table organized. The beer was delicious. The service very sharp and friendly. Always my pleasure.

Schlappeseppel is misleading. The - former - Schlappeseppel brewery doesn't have my favorite beer, but a different one. The 2nd star remains because there is no WiFi for the web menu and "my" network provider is obviously not represented here. So paper after all - Corona not averted. Service and food are good and "suffer" from the above point deductions.

Great location! There is fist beer here, but that stays between us. Here, too, everything is done to meet the hygiene requirements. Incredible that such an inn has to go into lockdown! Hold on!

Anytime again eat very well if you like rustic cuisine. Very friendly service. I'm looking forward to the next visit.

An absolute must for everyone who visits Aschaffenburg or lives here. Always full, always loud, always nice locals who you can join at the table. Top location right next to the castle!

Went there with 5 men ... everyone ate something different ... every menu was delicious and plentiful. Prices absolutely okay.

We stopped in Aschaffenburg tonight and stopped at Schlappeseppel. It was very loud, as I expect from a brewery restaurant, it was full and we only got a seat because two people who were sitting at a large table kindly offered us a seat. Distance rules do not seem to apply here! The tables are so close together that the outer seats are less than 1.5m away from each other (therefore also 1 star deduction). The service was on the ball and the food was great. Rarely have I eaten such a good rump steak!

Good beer, sociable atmosphere. You quickly get into conversation with other guests. Service friendly, good food. We'd love to come back.

Beer (Faust) very tasty, the atmosphere in the old inn is also appealing. The food was mostly okay, only the side salad was swimming in the water - it must have been in the kitchen for a moment. The waitress unfortunately gave the visit a bland aftertaste with their attentive and chaotic manner (several times noticed at short notice that the desired dish was unfortunately out, but it was available; invoice wrong; one salad too little; one because of allergies The ingredient that was canceled was still included; the promised beer on the house as an excuse appeared on the bill in the end; ...). It wasn't busy but the waitress was visibly overwhelmed.

A star because zero cannot be awarded. Despite the fact that the store wasn't particularly full, the service staff walked past us 3-4 times and didn't even greet us. When we were finally placed, we had to wait longer for the card. The food was unfortunately really not good and the beers were 70% foam! Unfortunately, a very disappointing and probably the last visit to SchlappeSeppel. Thumbs down!!!

I had the beer cheese schnitzel. Unfortunately, the amount was disappointing and the taste was good. Fried potatoes could be crispier. The Käsespätzle were delicious, the portion better.

A real disaster. The service is unfriendly. We got food cold. The quality leaves a lot to be desired. The only positive thing is the location.

Prices are okay at first glance, but quite high when looking at the small portions. Each of the three meals at our table was only lukewarm / cold. Wild boar relatively dry and slices so thin that almost light shines through. Dumplings and sauce quite tasteless. Faust beer gets used to well, but you can find it everywhere. Operation very fluffy. I can do without another visit.

Coziness mixed with tradition and good food there was also :-)

The blonde old lady smiled casually while she added a extra beer on our paycheck. Didnt figure it out till after we left. Disgraceful. No english too, so aparently tourists are not welcome. Do not recommend if you dont speak english. Freaking pagans

The atmosphere, food and beer could be good, but only one person can ruin the pleasant time you want to spend in a restaurant. Unfortunately , my experience was not good with a person who ignores me three times and did not take my order even I have asked just after she took other people’s orders. I hope that this attitude will be improved in the near future.

Beer as good as usual but service was really grumpy and disturbing. There was a hair in the food.... Was a good place but after another owner took over, everything is going down here :(

The atmosphere near the old castel is very nice and calming and the beer is really good. On the other side, the food is at least mediocre. We had some Weiswurst with brezel and a salad with steak stripes. The sausage was served in a bowl with broth alongside a brezel and sweet mustard. The broth tasted like stock cube and the brezel was dry, the sweet mustard though was tasty. The salad was made out of a big variety of vegetables and the portion was filling but it was way too shoggy, the cucumber was almost pickled. If it was freshly done it would be really good, but it wasn't. The three stars are for the beer, the enviroment and the very nice and helpfull waitress.

Took 2 hours to get our food which was abismal. Our server walked up after missing half of our groups order to say she was new and walked away. Finally the cook came out and apologize then tried to make it right by giving free shots to our group when some has to drive. Do not recommend.

Here you can eat well and cheaply. It is served quickly and very friendly. Recommended!

Hearty dishes in a rustic atmosphere invite you to stop by. Very great price performance ratio, which is unparalleled. The staff are very friendly and fast. Aschaffenburg's oldest pub still invites to dine and drink. Absolute recommendation. Come back anyway.
